Chanel Summer 2013 Collection - L’été Papillon De Chanel

The Chanel Summer 2013 collection is called L'été Papillon De Chanel. It will be launching this week in the UK and is said to be inspired by "butterfly wings with eyelids in endless combinations". It is filled with vivid, electric shades and is balanced with more easy to wear lip shades in pinks and oranges.

I can't wait to see the mascaras in the flesh, i'm still not sure whether they are amazing or going to be pretty unwearable but they will certainly add a fun element to any makeup look. Also looking forward to the stylo eyeshadow pens, moon river looks like it will be a gorgeous everyday shade. What are you most looking forward to from the collection?

Coloured like after biting into tropical fruit, the lips burst with sensuality without that feeling of unwanted texture for those long summer days. Comes in four shades 516 Copacabana, 656 Gaia, 636 Carioca and 476 Ilhabela

Review

A new, very on trend product from the 2013 summer collection from Dior,  the Jelly Lip Pen is the brands take on the sheer lip colour pens that have been popping up on make up counters everywhere at the moment. The only problem with such an on trend product is that with so much competition, at £19 each, the expectation levels are exceedingly high. I bought the shade Gaia which is a shimmering rosy pink shade with glitter particles throughout. The colour is pretty subtle and they aren't any way near as pigmented as other Dior lip products but as someone who doesn't normally feel comfortable in bright colours I liked this. You do need to top up the colour throughout the day but on a plus it feels very soft and silky on the lips. Overall i think if you have money to burn and prefer a subtle, glossy lip colour, chances are you are going to love these. So far they seem to be listed as limited edition so they are definitely worth checking out!

Dior Summer 2013 Collection - Bird of Paradise

The Dior Summer 2013 Collection, aptly named Bird of Paradise hit most Dior counters last week. The eyeshadow and nail colours come in vibrant aqua greens and teal blues with the blushes and lip colours in corals and pinks, which compliment each other beautifully.

This is definitely a step up from the incredibly disappointing lucky bags and if there are still any left by payday i will definitely be snapping one up. Interested to see how the tangle teezer differs from the original and i already love Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray and Caudalie Beauty Elixir so fingers crossed there will be one left! YSL Baby Doll Collection

Launching today, the Baby Doll Collection is based around YSL's new mascara. "Seduction, all the way to the tip of the lashes. A vastly separated “eyes wide open” lash look. The micro-faceted brush makes lashes appear multiplied and magnified: On one side, thick and spaced bristles coat the lashes and create volume. On the other side, fine and close bristles reach every lash, including the smallest lashes at the corner of the eye for a full fringe effect" Along with the mascara they have also launched new nail, lip and eyeliner colours in the brands rose baby doll pink.

As a fan of the false lash effect mascara I can't wait to try this and i'm really impressed with the mini collection they have released with the launch.
